     Anne Bayning, Viscountess Bayning of Foxley was baptised on 23 April 1619 at St. Olave’s, Hart Street, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Paul Bayning, 1st Viscount Bayning of Sudbury and Anne Glemham.¹ She married, firstly, Henry Murray, son of Thomas Murray and Jean Drummond, on 26 November 1635 at St. Mildred’s Poultry, London, England^G.¹ She and Sir John Baber obtained a marriage license on 1 August 1674.¹ She died in October 1678 at age 59, without surviving male issue.¹ She was buried at Savoy Church, London, England^G.¹ Her will (dated 18 November 1676) was proven (by probate) on 30 October 1678.¹
     From 26 November 1635, her married name became Murray.¹ She was created Viscountess Bayning of Foxley, Berkshire [England, life peer] on 17 March 1673/74, suo jure.¹ From 1 August 1674, her married name became Baber.¹

     Henry Murray was the son of Thomas Murray and Jean Drummond.^1,2 He married Anne Bayning, Viscountess Bayning of Foxley, daughter of Paul Bayning, 1st Viscount Bayning of Sudbury and Anne Glemham, on 26 November 1635 at St. Mildred’s Poultry, London, England^G.¹ He died in September 1672.^1,2 He was buried at Savoy Church, London, England^G.¹
     He held the office of Groom of the Bechamber, to King Charles I.¹

     Reverend William Murray was the son of Patrick Murray, 1st of Woodend and Elizabeth Murray.^2,3 He died in October 1616.³

     Anne Murray was born on 4 January 1622/23 at London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Murray and Jean Drummond.¹ She married Sir James Halkett, son of Sir Robert Halkett of Pitfirrane and Margaret Murray, on 2 March 1656 at Charlton, Dover, Kent, England.¹ She died on 22 April 1699 at age 76.¹
     From 2 March 1656, her married name became Halkett.¹

     Sir John Baber was born circa 1625.¹ He and Anne Bayning, Viscountess Bayning of Foxley obtained a marriage license on 1 August 1674.¹ He married Bridget Drury, daughter of Sir William Drury and Mary Cokayne, on 15 February 1680/81 at St. Bride’s, Fleet Street, London, England^G.² He died circa March 1704.¹ He died in 1704.² He was buried on 3 April 1704 at St. Paul’s Church, Covent Gardens, London, England^G.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He lived at St. Paul’s, Covent Gardens, London, England^G.¹

     Charles Townshend, 1st Baron Bayning of Foxley was born on 27 August 1728.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Townshend and Henrietta Powlett.¹ He was baptised on 6 September 1728 at Twickenham, London, England^G.¹ He married Annabella Smyth-Powlett, daughter of Reverend Richard Smyth and Annabella Powlett, on 21 August 1777 at Lambeth Palace, Lambeth, London, England^G.¹ He died on 19 May 1810 at age 81.¹
