     Robert Douglas was born before 1664.¹ He was the son of unknown Douglas.¹ He died in 1716.¹
     He held the office of Bishop of Dunblane in 1684.¹

     John Douglas was born after 1555.¹ He was the son of Sir Archibald Douglas, 1st of Glenbervie and Elizabeth Irvine.¹
     He was ancestor of Douglas, of Cruiton, Quarrelholes and Blackmill.²

     Gavin Douglas was born circa 1475.¹ He was the son of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Boyd.¹ He died in September 1522.¹
     He wrote the book The Palace of Honour, published 1501, an allegorical poem, which was not published until 1553.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Dunkeld in 1515.¹ He translated Virgil’s Æneid.¹

     Sir Archibald Douglas of Kilspindie was born after 1475.¹ He was the son of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Boyd.¹ He married Isobel Hoppar, daughter of Richard Hoppar, circa 27 May 1519.¹ He died circa 1536.¹

     Jacynta Batt was born on 23 September 1991.¹ She is the daughter of Brendon Batt and Sandra Burgess.¹

     Lady Marion Douglas was born between 1470 and 1477. She was the daughter of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Boyd.¹ She married John Dunlop, 9th Chief of Dunlop. A contract for the marriage of Lady Marion Douglas and Cuthbert Cuninghame, 3rd Earl of Glencairn was signed on 24 June 1492.¹
     She was also known as Mariot.² Her married name became Dunlop. From 24 June 1492, her married name became Cunningham.¹

     Cuthbert Cuninghame, 3rd Earl of Glencairn was the son of Robert Cuninghame, 2nd Earl of Glencairn and Christian Lindsay.² A contract for the marriage of Cuthbert Cuninghame, 3rd Earl of Glencairn and Lady Marion Douglas was signed on 24 June 1492.¹ He died from 23 May 1540 to May 1541.³
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Kilmaurs [S., 1464] circa 1490.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Glencairn [S., 1488] on 13 August 1503, when his title was apparently recognised.¹ On 24 July 1511 he was granted a charter of the Earldom and Barony of Glencairn.³ On 4 September 1526 he made an abortive attempt to wrest custody of King James V from the Douglas faction and was beaten by them at encounter of Linlithgow.³

     Elizabeth Douglas was born between 1471 and 1478. She was the daughter of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Boyd.¹ She and Robert Lyle, 3rd Lord Lyle were engaged on 19 June 1493.¹

     Robert Lyle, 2nd Lord Lyle was the son of Robert Lyle, 1st Lord Lyle and Margaret Wallace.² He married Margaret Seton, daughter of John Seton, Master of Seton and Christian Lindsay.³ He married, secondly, Margaret Houston.⁴ He died in 1497.⁵
     He gained the title of 2nd Lord Lyle.¹

     Lady Janet Douglas was born between 1472 and 1480. She was the daughter of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Boyd.¹ She married Andrew Herries, 2nd Lord Herries of Terregles, son of Herbert Herries, 1st Lord Herries of Terregles and Mariot Carlyle, between 25 November 1495 and 22 December 1495.¹
     From between 25 November 1495 and 22 December 1495, her married name became Herries.¹
