     Hon. Elizabeth Reading was born circa 1669.2 She was the daughter of Sir Robert Reading, 1st and last Bt. and Jane Hannay.1,2 She married James Hamilton, 6th Earl of Abercorn, son of Colonel James Hamilton and Elizabeth Colepeper, on 21 January 1683/84.1,3 She died on 19 March 1754 at Sackville Street, Piccadilly, London, EnglandG.2 She was buried on 22 March 1754 at Henry VII’s Chapel, Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.2,4 Her will was proven (by probate) on 20 March 1754.2
     From after 24 January 1684, her married name became Hamilton. After her marriage, Hon. Elizabeth Reading was styled as Countess of Abercorn in June 1701.2 Her last will was dated 5 April 1739.

     Sir Robert Reading, 1st and last Bt. married Jane Hannay, daughter of Sir Robert Hannay of Mochrum, 1st Bt. and Jane Stewart, circa 1662.2 He died circa March 1689, without male issue.3
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Reading in 1675.4 He lived at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
