     Lt.-Col. Douglas William Alexander Dalziel Mackenzie was born circa 1890 at 9 Wilton Crescent, London, England.² He was the son of William Roderick Dalziel Mackenzie.² He married Patience Elizabeth Hoare, daughter of Major Robert Basil Hoare and Olive Elizabeth Emily Orde. He died in 1955.³
     He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Farr, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹
