He was given the name of Carol Earnest Bagot at birth.3 He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Irish Guards.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Bagot of Bagot’s Bromley, co. Stafford [G.B., 1780] on 5 April 1946.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Bagot, of Blithfield, co. Stafford [E., 1627] on 5 April 1946.1 He adopted Caryl Rosemary Bagot.
