     Joyce Hilda Hawkins was born on 4 March 1906 at Colchester, Essex, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Herbert Reginald Montgomery Hawkins and Hilda Nugent Bankes.¹ She married John Lancelot Leslie-Ellis, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Leslie-Ellis, on 24 April 1928 at Dorset, England^G.¹ She died on 14 June 1987 at age 81 at Ireland^G.¹
     From 24 April 1928, her married name became Leslie-Ellis.¹ She lived in 1976 at 2 Rathdown Cottage, Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland.²

     John Lancelot Leslie-Ellis was born on 4 March 1902.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Leslie-Ellis.² He married Joyce Hilda Hawkins, daughter of Captain Herbert Reginald Montgomery Hawkins and Hilda Nugent Bankes, on 24 April 1928 at Dorset, England^G.¹ He died on 4 April 1961 at age 59 at Magherymore, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Henry Leslie-Ellis was born on 10 February 1852.¹ He was the son of Robert Francis Ellis and Elizabeth Mary Hawkins.¹ He died on 12 April 1918 at age 66.¹

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the North Staffordshire Regiment.¹
