Sir Thomas Staples, 9th Bt. was born on 31 July 1775.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. John Staples and Hon. Henrietta Molesworth.2 He married Catherine Hawkins, daughter of Reverend John Hawkins and Anne Montgomery, on 27 October 1813.1 He died on 14 May 1865 at age 89, without issue.1
He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 24 June 1832.1

Reverend John Hawkins was born on 1 August 1757.2 He was the son of Rt. Rev. James Hawkins and Catherine Keene.1,3 He married Anne Montgomery, daughter of Alexander Montgomery, in March 1792.2 He died on 11 May 1841 at age 83.2
