     From 5 October 1940, her married name became Clive.¹

     John Edward Clive was born on 5 January 1943.¹ He is the son of Edward Buxton Clive and Rita Kathleen Robertson.¹

Sir George Sidney Clive and Madeline Buxton.¹ She married Robert Eustace Abel Smith, son of Eustace Abel Smith and Aileen Geta Katherine Conolly, on 8 August 1935.¹ She died on 5 October 1990 at age 79 at Rise Hitchin, England.²
     From 8 August 1935, her married name became Abel Smith.¹ She lived in 1965 at Clifton, Teignmouth, Devon, England^G.³

     Robert Eustace Abel Smith was born on 24 March 1909.² He was the son of Eustace Abel Smith and Aileen Geta Katherine Conolly.^1,2 He married Mary Sidney Clive, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir George Sidney Clive and Madeline Buxton, on 8 August 1935.¹ He died on 21 May 1940 at age 31 at Dunkirk, France^G, killed in action.²
