     Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 1st Bt. was born circa 1657 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of David Cunyngham of Milncraig and Margaret Mosoun.3 He married, firstly, Isobell Dalrymple, daughter of James Dalrymple, 1st Viscount of Stair and Margaret Ross.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Baird, daughter of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Fleming, on 16 March 1698.1 He died on 28 January 1708.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Scotland]1 He was a practising lawyer.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cunynghame, of Milncraig, co. Ayr [Nova Scotia] on 3 February 1701/2.1 He lived at Milncraig, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1 He lived at Livingstone, Linlithgowshire, ScotlandG.1

     Sir James Cunynghame of Milncraig, 2nd Bt. was born in 1690 at Milncraig, Ayrshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 1st Bt. and Isobell Dalrymple.3 He died on 1 February 1747, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cunynghame, of Milncraig, co. Ayr [N.S., 1702] on 28 January 1708.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Linlithgowshire [Scotland] between 1715 and 1722.1
