Most Rev. Thomas Musgrave was born on 30 March 1788 at Slaughter House Lane, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was the son of W. Peet Musgrave and Sarah (?)2 He married Hon. Catherine Cavendish, daughter of Richard Cavendish, 2nd Baron Waterpark and Juliana Cooper, on 12 December 1839.1 He died on 4 May 1860 at age 72 at Belgrave Square, London, England.1,2
He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He was educated at Richmond Grammar School, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1810 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1813 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was Lord Almoner’s Professor of Arabic in 1821 at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was Senior Bursar between 1825 and 1837 at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He held the office of Dean of Bristol in 1837.2 He held the office of Bishop of Hereford between 1837 and 1847.2 He held the office of Archbishop of York between 1847 and 1860.1

Colonel Martin Bladen Hawke, 7th Baron Hawke of Towton was born on 16 August 1860.1 He was the son of Edward Henry Julius Hawke, 6th Baron Hawke of Towton and Jane Dowker.1,3 He married Marjory Nelson Ritchie Edwards, daughter of W. Peacock Edwards, on 1 June 1916.1 He died on 10 October 1938 at age 78, without issue.1
He succeeded as the 7th Baron Hawke of Towton, co. York [G.B., 1776] on 5 December 1887.3 He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the 3rd Battalion, Princess of Wales’s Own Yorkshire Regiment.3 Between 1895 and 1899 he played five cricket tests for England in South Africa, and captain in four.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He was president of the Marylebone Cricket Club between 1914 and 1918.4 He gained the rank of Colonel in the West Riding Volunteer Regiment.1
