     General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt. was born on 20 August 1760.¹ He was the son of John Campbell of Achalader and Isabella Campbell.^2,3 He married, firstly, Olympia Elizabeth Morshead, daughter of William Morshead and Olympia Treise, on 11 October 1783 at Clifton, Bristol, England.^1,4 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Anne Pemberton, daughter of Reverend Thomas Pemberton, on 30 November 1807 at Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England.^1,4 He was also reported to have been married on 30 November 1808.⁴ He died on 11 December 1824 at age 64.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)² He fought in the Siege of Gibraltar.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 4th Division.¹ He was appointed Knight.¹ He fought in the Battle of Talavera, where he was severely wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 80th Regiment.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Campbell, of Gartsford, co. Ross [U.K.] on 6 March 1815.¹ On 3 July 1821 he received a new patent for his baronetcy extending the limitation to his grandson Alexander and after him to the issue male of his 2nd daughter, Isabella.¹

     William Morshead married Olympia Treise.²
     He lived at Cartuther, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Olympia Elizabeth Morshead was baptised on 27 November 1749 at Menheniot, Cornwall, England.² She was the daughter of William Morshead and Olympia Treise.^3,2 She married General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt., son of John Campbell of Achalader and Isabella Campbell, on 11 October 1783 at Clifton, Bristol, England.^1,2 She died on 24 December 1794 at age 45.¹
     From 11 October 1783, her married name became Campbell.¹

     Lieutenant John Morshead Campbell was the son of General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt. and Olympia Elizabeth Morshead.² He died on 23 September 1803 at Assaye, India^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Infantry.¹ On 23 September 1803 Battle of Assaye.¹

     Lt.-Col. Allan William Campbell was the son of General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt. and Olympia Elizabeth Morshead.² He died on 28 July 1813 at France^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.¹ He fought in the Battle of the Pyrenees in July 1813.¹

     Olympia Campbell is the daughter of General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt. and Olympia Elizabeth Morshead.² She married Alexander Cockburn, son of Thomas Cockburn and Agnes Scott.¹
     Her married name became Cockburn.

     Thomas Cockburn was born in 1723.² He was the son of Margaret Rutherford.² He married Agnes Scott, daughter of John Scott and Marion Baillie.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Keeper of the Great Seal of Scotland.¹ He lived at Bowchester, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹

     Alexander Cockburn is the son of Thomas Cockburn and Agnes Scott.^2,1 He married Olympia Campbell, daughter of General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt. and Olympia Elizabeth Morshead.¹
     He was a banker at Madras, India^G.¹

     Friedrich von Pällnitz married Olympia Cockburn-Campbell, daughter of Sir Alexander Thomas Cockburn-Campbell, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Malcolm, in 1863.¹
     He lived at Ippesheim, Bavaria, Germany^G.¹

     Isabella Charlotte Campbell was born on 31 January 1789.² She was the daughter of General Sir Alexander Campbell, 1st Bt. and Olympia Elizabeth Morshead.³ She married General Sir John Malcolm, son of George Malcolm and Margaret Pasley, on 4 June 1807.¹ She died on 26 June 1867 at age 78.¹
     From 4 June 1807, her married name became Malcolm.
