He was given the name of Alexander Thomas Cockburn at birth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Campbell, of Gartsford, co. Ross [U.K., 1815] on 11 December 1824.1 He was also known as Alexander Thomas Cockburn-Campbell as of 1825.1 He held the office of Resident Magistrate of Albany [Western Australia].1
