He succeeded as the 4th Baron Gage of High Meadow, co. Gloucester [G.B., 1790] on 20 January 1877.2 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Gage, of Firley, co. Sussex [E., 1622] on 20 January 1877.2 He gained the title of 5th Viscount Gage of Castle Island, co. Kerry [I., 1720] on 20 January 1877.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Gage of Castlebar, co. Mayo [I., 1720] on 20 January 1877.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Sussex.2

Rainald Knightley, 1st and last Baron Knightley1 
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Northampton between 1852 and 1892.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Knightley, of Fawsley, co. Northampton [G.B., 1798] on 30 August 1864.1 He was created 1st Baron Knightley, of Fawsley, co. Northampton [U.K.] on 23 August 1892.1 On his death, his barony became extinct.1
