Colonel Christopher Charles Egerton was born on 12 December 1923.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Henry Jack Egerton and Marion Frances Theresa Beckett.1 He married Rosamund Dora Birch Reynardson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Thomas Birch Reynardson and Diana Helen Ponsonby, on 6 December 1946.1 He died on 26 October 2000 at age 76.1
He gained the rank of Colonel in the 15/19th Hussars.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He lived at Great Edstone, Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
