Sir Arthur Edward Middleton, 7th Bt.1 
He was given the name of Arthur Edward Monck at birth.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Middleton, of Belsay Castle, co. Northumberland [E., 1662] on 20 July 1867.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Durham between 1874 and 1880.2 On 12 February 1876 his name was legally changed to Arthur Edward Middleton.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1884.2
