     Thomas Americus Erskine, 3rd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle was born on 3 May 1802.¹ He was the son of David Montagu Erskine, 2nd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Frances Cadwallader.¹ He married Louisa Newnham, daughter of George Lewis Newnham and Mary Diana Aston, on 12 May 1830 at Aldington, Cheshire, England^G.² He died on 10 May 1877 at age 75 at Hillside, Alderley Edge, Cheshire, England^G, without issue.² He was buried on 15 May 1877 at Prestbury, Cheshire, England^G.² His will was proven (by probate) on 10 July 1877.²
     He was an attaché to Turin, Naples and Lisbon between 1824 and 1827.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle, co. Cornwall [U.K., 1806] on 19 March 1855.¹ His last will was dated 26 January 1877.

     George Lewis Newnham lived at Newtimber Place, Hassocks, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Louisa Newnham was born circa 1791.² She was the daughter of George Lewis Newnham and Mary Diana Aston.^1,2 She married, firstly, Thomas Legh before 1830.¹ She married, secondly, Thomas Americus Erskine, 3rd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle, son of David Montagu Erskine, 2nd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Frances Cadwallader, on 12 May 1830 at Aldington, Cheshire, England^G.² She died on 10 March 1867 at Bonishall, Cheshire, England^G.² She was buried on 14 March 1867 at Prestbury, Cheshire, England^G.²
     From before 1830, her married name became Legh.¹ From 12 May 1830, her married name became Erskine. After her marriage, Louisa Newnham was styled as Baroness Erskine of Restormel Castle on 19 March 1855.

     John Cadwallader Erskine, 4th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle was born in 1804.¹ He was the son of David Montagu Erskine, 2nd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Frances Cadwallader.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Martyn, daughter of John Martyn, on 30 April 1829.¹ He married, secondly, Maria Louisa Cullen Campbell, daughter of Colonel Alexander Campbell, on 25 January 1865 at Shinfield, Berkshire, England^G.² He died on 28 March 1882 at Ettenheim House, Torquay, Devon, England^G.²
     He was in the Bengal Civil Service between 1826 and 1853.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle, co. Cornwall [U.K., 1806] on 10 May 1877.¹

     John Martyn lived at County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹

     Margaret Martyn was the daughter of John Martyn.¹ She married John Cadwallader Erskine, 4th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle, son of David Montagu Erskine, 2nd Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Frances Cadwallader, on 30 April 1829.¹ She died on 21 June 1862.¹
     From 30 April 1829, her married name became Erskine.

     William Macnaghten Erskine, 5th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle was born on 7 January 1841 at Simla, India^G.² He was the son of John Cadwallader Erskine, 4th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Margaret Martyn.¹ He married Caroline Alice Martha Grimble, daughter of William Grimble, on 2 July 1864 at St. Nicholas’s Church, Brighton, Sussex, England^G.² He died on 8 December 1913 at age 72 at Spratton Hall, Northamptonshire, England^G.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Lancers.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1873 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northamptonshire.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle, co. Cornwall [U.K., 1806] on 28 March 1882.¹
