Peerage Record – 1848

     Hector John Graham-Toler, 2nd Earl of Norbury was born on 27 June 1781.¹ He was the son of John Toler, 1st Earl of Norbury and Grace Graham, Baroness Norwood of Knockalton.¹ He married Elizabeth Brabazon, daughter of William Brabazon and Elizabeth Phibbs, on 1 January 1808.¹ He died on 3 January 1839 at age 57 at Durrow Abbey, Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland^G, shot dead by his butler (who may have been associated with the Ribbonmen).¹
     He was given the name of Hector John Toler at birth.¹ On 26 November 1825 his name was legally changed to Hector John Graham-Toler by Royal Licence.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Glandine, of Glandine, King’s County [I., 1827] on 27 July 1831.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Norbury [I., 1827] on 27 July 1831.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Queen’s County.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Norwood of Knockalton, co. Tipperary [I., 1797] on 30 June 1832.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Norbury of Ballycrenode, co. Tipperary [I., 1800] on 30 June 1832.¹

     Florence Emily Ashton was the daughter of William Ashton.¹ She married Reverend Randolph Cecil Parsons, son of Hon. Laurence Parsons and Hon. Jane Duncombe, on 12 December 1901.¹ She died on 26 February 1946.¹
     Her married name became Parsons.

     Peter Pownall Brocklehurst was born in April 1821.¹ He was the son of John Brocklehurst and Mary Coare.¹ He died, unmarried.¹
     He lived at Hurdsfield House, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)²

     Colonel Frederick Henry Harford married Florence Helen Isabella Parsons, daughter of Hon. Laurence Parsons and Hon. Jane Duncombe, on 21 March 1881.¹ He died on 20 August 1926.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Scots Guards.¹ He lived at Down Place, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Jane Parsons was the daughter of Laurence Parsons, 2nd Earl of Rosse and Alice Lloyd.¹ She married Arthur Edward Knox on 12 December 1835.¹ She died on 31 December 1883.¹
     Her married name became Knox.

     Arthur Edward Knox married Lady Jane Parsons, daughter of Laurence Parsons, 2nd Earl of Rosse and Alice Lloyd, on 12 December 1835.¹ He died on 23 September 1886.¹
     He lived at Castle Rea, County Mayo, Ireland^G.¹

     Lady Alicia Parsons was born circa 1815.¹ She was the daughter of Laurence Parsons, 2nd Earl of Rosse and Alice Lloyd.¹ She married Sir Edward Conroy, 2nd Bt. in 1837.¹ She died on 21 January 1885.¹
     Her married name became Conroy.

     Sir Edward Conroy, 2nd Bt. married Lady Alicia Parsons, daughter of Laurence Parsons, 2nd Earl of Rosse and Alice Lloyd, in 1837.¹ He died on 3 November 1869.¹
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Conroy.

     Jean de Villiers, Seigneur de Villiers married Marie de l‘Isle, daughter of Jean de l‘Isle, Seigneur de Bourris.¹
