Reginald Carlyon Coates was born on 13 November 1869 at Bedwellty, Monmouthshire, Wales.² He was the son of Reverend George Alexander Augustus Coates and Harriet Nona Carlyon.^3,2 He married Alice Maud Daly, daughter of General Sir Henry Dermot Daly and Susan Elizabeth Ellen Kirkpatrick, in 1903.¹ He died on 27 September 1958 at age 88 at Malvern, Worcestershire, England.²
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Elizabeth Alice Helena Daly is the daughter of General Sir Henry Dermot Daly and Susan Elizabeth Ellen Kirkpatrick.^2,1 She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Herbert Edward Watts, son of Reverend Robert Edward Reginald Watts, in 1896.¹
     From 1896, her married name became Watts.

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Herbert Edward Watts was the son of Reverend Robert Edward Reginald Watts.³ He married Elizabeth Alice Helena Daly, daughter of General Sir Henry Dermot Daly and Susan Elizabeth Ellen Kirkpatrick, in 1896.¹ He died on 15 October 1934.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Mary Henrietta Daly is the daughter of General Sir Henry Dermot Daly and Susan Elizabeth Ellen Kirkpatrick.² She married Captain Bruce Campbell-Johnson.¹
     Her married name became Campbell-Johnson.

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Adam de Villiers, Seigneur de Villiers et l’Isle-Adam was the son of Jean de Villiers, Seigneur de Villiers and Marie de l‘Isle.¹ He married Alix de Cressy.¹ He died in 1339.¹

     Charlotte Claudine Georgina Coape was the daughter of James Coape.¹ She married Alexander Murray-Dunlop, son of Alexander Charles Colquhoun-Stirling-Murray-Dunlop and Eliza Esther Murray, on 4 February 1873 at Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland.² She married, secondly, General Sir Henry Dermot Daly, son of Lt.-Col. Francis Dermot Daly and Mary McIntosh, in 1882.¹ She died on 22 February 1920.¹
     From 4 February 1873, her married name became Murray-Dunlop.² From 1882, her married name became Daly.

     Alix de Cressy married Adam de Villiers, Seigneur de Villiers et l’Isle-Adam, son of Jean de Villiers, Seigneur de Villiers and Marie de l‘Isle.¹ She died in 1352.¹

     Colonel Victor Alexander Henry Daly was born on 28 December 1889.² He was the son of General Sir Henry Dermot Daly and Charlotte Claudine Georgina Coape.³ He married Sybil Heyman, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Henry Cockburn Heyman, on 30 January 1918.² He died on 19 March 1971 at age 81 at Pond Cottage, Darby Green, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey, England.⁴
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He fought in the First World War.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He retired from the military in 1938, with the rank of Colonel, late of the West Yorkshire Regiment.² He fought in the Second World War.² He was one of HM’s Body Guard of Honour Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms between 1939 and 1959.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.² He lived at Pond Cottage, Darby Green, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey, England^G.¹
