     Jean Duff was born in 1696.1 She was the daughter of Patrick Duff of Craigston and Anne Innes.1 She married John Innes, 7th of Edingight, son of John Innes, 6th of Edingight and Helen Strachan, on 30 March 1720.1 She died on 23 May 1776.1
     From 30 March 1720, her married name became Innes.1

     John Innes, 6th of Edingight was born in October 1662.1 He was the son of John Innes, 5th of Edingight and Elizabeth Gordon.1,2 A contract for the marriage of John Innes, 6th of Edingight and Helen Strachan was signed on 7 August 1691.1 He died in June 1719 at age 56.3
     In 1691 his father made over Edingight to him.1 He was Baillie Regality of Strathisla.1
