     David Brodie, 14th of Brodie was born in 1586.2 He was the son of David Brodie, 13th of Brodie and Janet Hay.1,2 He married Katherine Dunbar, daughter of Thomas Dunbar and Grisell Crichton, before 1616.3 He died on 22 September 1623.4
     He held the position of 14th Chief of the Clan Brodie from.1

Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie1

     Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie was born on 25 July 1617.1 He was the son of David Brodie, 14th of Brodie and Katherine Dunbar.1,2 He married Elizabeth Innes, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Innes of that Ilk, 1st Bt. and Lady Grizel Stuart, on 28 October 1635.3 He died in 1679.2
     He held the position of 15th Chief of the Clan Brodie from in 1632.1 He was styled as Lord Brodie [Scottish Law Lord] in 1657.1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] between 1657 and 1661.1

James Brodie, 16th of Brodie1

     James Brodie, 16th of Brodie was born on 15 September 1637.1 He was the son of Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie and Elizabeth Innes.1,2 He married Lady Mary Kerr, daughter of William Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian and Lady Anne Kerr, on 28 July 1659.1 He died in March 1708 at age 70, without male issue.1
     He held the position of 16th Chief of the Clan Brodie from circa 1661.1 In 1685 he was fined £24,000, presumably for supporting the Duke of monmouth in his bid for the throne.1
     He had seven other daughters.1

     Lady Mary Kerr was the daughter of William Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian and Lady Anne Kerr.1 She married James Brodie, 16th of Brodie, son of Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie and Elizabeth Innes, on 28 July 1659.1 She died in March 1708.1
     From 28 July 1659, her married name became Brodie.1

     William Forbes, 12th Lord Forbes was born circa 1656.1 He was the son of William Forbes, 11th Lord Forbes and Jean Campbell.2 He married Anne Brodie, daughter of James Brodie, 16th of Brodie and Lady Mary Kerr, in 1680.1 He died in July 1716.2
     He succeeded as the 12th Lord Forbes [S., 1445] in 1697.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire asnd Banffshire from 1715 to 1716.2

     George Brodie, 17th of Brodie was the son of Joseph Brodie and Isabella Dundas.1,2 He married Emilia Brodie, daughter of James Brodie, 16th of Brodie and Lady Mary Kerr, in 1692.1 He died before 6 January 1716.1
     He held the position of 17th Chief of the Clan Brodie from in March 1708.1

     Joseph Brodie was the son of David Brodie, 14th of Brodie and Katherine Dunbar.2 He married, firstly, Christian Baillie in 1660.2 He married Isabella Dundas, daughter of George Dundas and Catherine Monypenny, in 1664.3 He died in 1682.2
     He lived at Asleisk Castle, ScotlandG.1
