George Brudenell, 3rd Earl of Cardigan1 
George Brudenell, 3rd Earl of Cardigan was born in 1685.2 He was the son of Francis Brudenell, Lord Brudenell and Lady Frances Savile.3 He married Lady Elizabeth Bruce, daughter of Thomas Bruce, 3rd Earl of Elgin and Lady Elizabeth Seymour, on 15 May 1707 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 5 July 1732, from a bleeding of the nose.3,4 He was buried at Deene, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.3
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Brudenell, of Deene, co. Northampton [E., 1611] on 16 July 1703.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Cardigan [E., 1661] on 16 July 1703.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Brudenell of Stonton, co. Leicester [E., 1628] on 16 July 1703.3 On 11 January 1708/9 he renounced his Roman Catholic faith.3 He held the office of Master of the Buckhounds between 1712 and 1715, to Queen Anne, and to King George I.3 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) by Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, on 25 April 1728.3

Henry Frederick Howard, 22nd Earl of Arundel1 
He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 4 November 1616.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Arundel from 1628 to 1629.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Callan [Ireland] in 1634.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 10 August 1634.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Arundel in 1640.1 He was created 1st Baron Mowbray [England] on 13 April 1640, after being called up in his father’s lifetime, creating a new title as he was only a co-heir to the 1295 Lordship in 1640.2 He fought in the Battle of Edgehill in October 1642.1 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 1 November 1642 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 15th Lord Mowbray [E., 1295] on 4 October 1646.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Surrey [E., 1483] on 4 October 1646.3 He succeeded as the 22nd Earl of Arundel [E., c. 1138] on 4 October 1646.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Norfolk [E., 1644] on 4 October 1646.3 He succeeded as the 16th Lord Segrave [E., 1295] on 4 October 1646.2 In 1648 he was fined £6,000 by Parliament, but allowed to compound for his estates.1

James Howard, 3rd Earl of Suffolk1

James Howard, 3rd Earl of Suffolk was baptised on 10 February 1619/20.3 He was the son of Theophilus Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk and Lady Elizabeth Home.3,1 He married, firstly, Susannah Rich, daughter of Henry Rich, 1st Earl of Holland and Isabel Cope, on 1 December 1646.3 He married, secondly, Barbara Villiers, daughter of Sir Edward Villiers and Barbara St. John, after 19 February 1650/51.3 He married, thirdly, Lady Anne Montagu, daughter of Robert Montagu, 3rd Earl of Manchester and Anne Yelverton, on 17 May 1682.3 He died on 7 January 1688/89 at age 68, without male issue.3
He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in February 1625/26.1 He held the office of Joint Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk in 1640.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Howard de Walden [E., 1597] on 3 June 1640.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Suffolk [E., 1603] on 3 June 1640.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk in March 1641/42.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk between 1660 and 1680/81.1 He was Earl Marshal in 1661, for the coronation of King CHarles II.1 On his death, his barony fell into abeyance.3

He gained the rank of Captain in 1646 in the Dutch States Army. He was Master of the Horse to the Duke of York in 1647. He was a Gentleman of the Bedchamber to the Duke of York in 1648. He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Suffolk [E., 1603] on 7 January 1689.2
