He married Elizabeth Karageorgievich, Princess of Yugoslavia, daughter of Paul Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia and Olga zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, on 21 January 1961 at Manassas, Virginia, U.S.A.^G.² He and Elizabeth Karageorgievich, Princess of Yugoslavia were divorced in 1966.³ He died on 25 June 2010.²

     Neil Roxburgh Balfour was born on 12 August 1944.² He is the son of Archibald Roxburgh Balfour and Lilian Helen Cooper.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Karageorgievich, Princess of Yugoslavia, daughter of Paul Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia and Olga zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, on 23 September 1969 at London, England^G.³ He married, secondly, Serena Mary Churchill Russell, daughter of Lieutenant Edwin Fairman Russell and Lady Sarah Consuelo Spencer-Churchill, on 4 November 1978.^1,4 He and Elizabeth Karageorgievich, Princess of Yugoslavia were divorced before November 1978.⁵
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.⁵ He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)⁵ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1968 entitled to practise as a barrister.⁵ He held the office of Member of the European Parliament (M.E.P.) between 1979 and 1984, for Yorkshire North.⁵ He was chairman of Mermaid Overseas Ltd in 1991.⁴ He was chief executive of Mostostal Warszawa S.A.² He lived in 2004 at Warwick Square, London, England^G.²

     Nicholas Augustus Balfour was born on 6 June 1970 at London, England^G.¹ He is the son of Neil Roxburgh Balfour and Elizabeth Karageorgievich, Princess of Yugoslavia.¹ He married Stéphanie B. V. de Brouwer, daughter of Jean-Marie de Brouwer and Veronika Dengg, in 2000.²

     Myra Alice Wernher was born on 8 March 1925 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ She is the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Harold Augustus Wernher, 3rd Bt. and Anastasia Mikhailovna de Torby, Countess de Torby.¹ She married Major Sir David Henry Butter, son of Colonel Charles Adrian James Butter, on 5 November 1946.¹
     From 5 November 1946, her married name became Butter. She was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)²

     Major Sir David Henry Butter was born on 18 March 1920 at London, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Colonel Charles Adrian James Butter. He married Myra Alice Wernher, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Harold Augustus Wernher, 3rd Bt. and Anastasia Mikhailovna de Torby, Countess de Torby, on 5 November 1946.¹ He died on 29 May 2010 at age 90.^2,3
