     Matthew White Ridley, 4th Viscount Ridley was born on 29 July 1925.¹ He was the son of Matthew White Ridley, 3rd Viscount Ridley and Ursula Lutyens.² He married Lady Anne Katharine Gabrielle Lumley, daughter of Lawrence Roger Lumley, 11th Earl of Scarbrough and Katherine Isobel McEwen, on 3 January 1953.¹ He died on 22 March 2012 at age 86.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was Ade-de-Camp to the Governor of Kenya between 1952 and 1953.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1957.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1960.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet White [G.B., 1756] on 25 February 1964.² He succeeded as the 4th Baron Wensleydale, of Blagdon and Blyth, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1900] on 25 February 1964.² He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Ridley [U.K., 1900] on 25 February 1964.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northumberland between 1968 and 1984.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland in 1984.¹ He was Lord Steward of the Household between 1989 and 2001.¹ He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1992.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1994.¹ He lived in 2003 at Boston House, Seaton Burn, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.¹

     Matthew White Ridley, 5th Viscount Ridley was born on 7 February 1958.¹ He is the son of Matthew White Ridley, 4th Viscount Ridley and Lady Anne Katharine Gabrielle Lumley.¹ He married Dr. Anya Christine Hurlbert, daughter of Dr. Robert Hurlbert, on 16 December 1989.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Doctor of Phlosophy (D.Phil.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Blagdon, Seaton Burn, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet White [G.B., 1756] on 22 March 2012. He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Ridley [U.K., 1900] on 22 March 2012.² He succeeded as the 5th Baron Wensleydale, of Blagdon and Blyth, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1900] on 22 March 2012.

     Hon. Cecilia Anne Ridley was born on 1 December 1953.² She is the daughter of Matthew White Ridley, 4th Viscount Ridley and Lady Anne Katharine Gabrielle Lumley.² She married Berkeley Arthur Cole, son of Captain Arthur Gerald Cole and Prudence Tobina Cartwright, on 14 October 1978.¹
     From 14 October 1978, her married name became Cole.¹

     Hon. Rose Emily Ridley was born on 13 August 1956.¹ She was the daughter of Matthew White Ridley, 4th Viscount Ridley and Lady Anne Katharine Gabrielle Lumley.¹ She married Owen William Paterson, son of Alfred Paterson, on 26 January 1980.¹ She died in June 2020 at age 63.²
     From 26 January 1980, her married name became Paterson.¹ She lived in 2003 at Shellbrook Hill, Ellesmere, Shropshire, England.¹

     Hon. Laura Consuelo Ridley was the daughter of Matthew White Ridley, 3rd Viscount Ridley and Ursula Lutyens.¹ She married Adrian Frederick Mark Carrick, son of G. P. Carrick, on 6 November 1954.¹ She died on 22 June 1982.¹
     Her married name became Carrick.

     Adrian Frederick Mark Carrick was the son of G. P. Carrick.¹ He married Hon. Laura Consuelo Ridley, daughter of Matthew White Ridley, 3rd Viscount Ridley and Ursula Lutyens, on 6 November 1954.¹ He died on 20 April 1985.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the THe Queen’s Bays.¹

     G. P. Carrick lived at Sanson Seal, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     Amanda Carrick was born on 24 May 1957.¹ She is the daughter of Adrian Frederick Mark Carrick and Hon. Laura Consuelo Ridley.¹

     Emma Clare Carrick was born on 22 December 1961.¹ She is the daughter of Adrian Frederick Mark Carrick and Hon. Laura Consuelo Ridley.¹

     Hon. Jane Ridley was born on 15 May 1953.¹ She is the daughter of Nicholas Ridley, Baron Ridley of Liddesdale and Hon. Clayre Campbell.¹ She married Stephen Francis Thomas, son of Sir William James Cooper Thomas, 2nd Bt. and Freida Dunbar Whyte, in 1986.²
     From 1986, her married name became Thomas.
