     Henry David Reginald Margesson, 1st Viscount Margesson was born on 26 July 1890.¹ He was the son of Sir Mortimer Reginald Margesson and Lady Isabel Augusta Hobart-Hampden.¹ He married Frances Howard Leggett, daughter of Francis Howard Leggett and Elizabeth McLeod, on 29 April 1916.¹ He and Frances Howard Leggett were divorced in 1940.¹ He died on 24 December 1965 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 11th Hussars.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for West Ham Upton between 1922 and 1923.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for Rugby between 1924 and 1942.¹ He held the office of Junior Lord of the Treasury between 1926 and 1929.¹ He held the office of Junior Lord of the Treasury between August 1931 and October 1931.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1933.¹ He held the office of Secretary of State, War between 1940 and 1942.¹ He was director of International Nickel between 1942 and 1960.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Margesson, of Rugby, co. Warwick [U.K.] on 27 April 1942.²

     Frances Howard Leggett was born on 30 November 1896 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Howard Leggett and Elizabeth McLeod.¹ She married Henry David Reginald Margesson, 1st Viscount Margesson, son of Sir Mortimer Reginald Margesson and Lady Isabel Augusta Hobart-Hampden, on 29 April 1916.² She and Henry David Reginald Margesson, 1st Viscount Margesson were divorced in 1940.² She died in February 1977 at age 80 at Stone Ridge, Ulster County, New York, U.S.A.¹
     Her married name became Margesson. After her marriage, Frances Howard Leggett was styled as Viscountess Margesson on 27 April 1942.

     Francis Howard Leggett was born on 27 March 1840 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.¹ He married Elizabeth McLeod.¹ He died on 29 August 1909 at age 69 at Weehawken, New Jersey, U.S.A.¹
     He lived at New York, U.S.A.^G.

     Francis Vere Hampden Margesson, 2nd Viscount Margesson was born on 17 April 1922.¹ He was the son of Henry David Reginald Margesson, 1st Viscount Margesson and Frances Howard Leggett.¹ He married Helena Backstrom, daughter of Heikki Backstrom, on 18 September 1958.¹ He died on 11 November 2014 at age 92.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer reserve.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Bahamas in 1956.¹ He was information officer, British Consultate-General between 1964 and 1970 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Margesson, of Rugby, co. Warwick [U.K., 1942] on 24 December 1965.¹

     Helena Backstrom is the daughter of Heikki Backstrom.¹ She married Francis Vere Hampden Margesson, 2nd Viscount Margesson, son of Henry David Reginald Margesson, 1st Viscount Margesson and Frances Howard Leggett, on 18 September 1958.¹
     Her married name became Margesson. After her marriage, Helena Backstrom was styled as Viscountess Margesson on 24 December 1965.

     Richard Francis David Margesson, 3rd Viscount Margesson was born on 25 December 1960.¹ He is the son of Francis Vere Hampden Margesson, 2nd Viscount Margesson and Helena Backstrom.² He married, firstly, Wendy Maree Hazelton, daughter of James Hazelton, on 15 December 1990.¹ He and Wendy Maree Hazelton were divorced in 2002.¹ He married, secondly, Roselle Ita Rowlands, daughter of Benjamin Rowlands, in 2003.³
     He was educated at St. Paul’s School, Concord, New Hampshire, U.S.A.^G.² He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at Exeter University, Exeter, Devon, England^G.² He gained the rank of Major in 1983 in the Coldstream Guards.² He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Margesson, of Rugby, co.
