Vere Brabazon Ponsonby, 9th Earl of Bessborough was born on 27 October 1880.1 He was the son of Edward Ponsonby, 8th Earl of Bessborough and Blanche Vere Guest.1 He married Roberte de Neuflize, daughter of Baron unknown de Neuflize, on 25 June 1912.3 He died on 10 March 1956 at age 75.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He was a barrister.3 He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1907 and 1910.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Cheltenham in 1910.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) She was appointed Dame Grand Cross, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (G.C.St.J.)1 She was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Sussex between 1943 and 1956.1
