     Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran was born on 19 January 1912.² He was the son of Herbert Dixon, 1st Baron Glentoran and Hon. Emily Ina Florence Bingham.² He married Lady Diana Mary Wellesley, daughter of Henry Arthur Mornington Wellesley, 3rd Earl Cowley and Clare Florence Mary Stapleton, on 20 July 1933.³ He died on 22 July 1995 at age 83 at Drumadarragh House, Doagh, County Antrim, Ireland^G.⁴
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of officer in the Grenadier Guards.² He fought in the Second World War, including Fnrace and Monte Cassino.² He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Belfast Bloomfield [Northern Ireland] between 1950 and 1961.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dixon [U.K., 1903] on 20 July 1950.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Glentoran, of Ballyalloly, co. Down [U.K., 1939] on 20 July 1950.³ He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1952.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Northern Ireland] in 1953.² He held the office of Speaker of the Senate [Northern Ireland] between 1964 and 1973.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1973.² He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of belfast between 1976 and 1985.²

     Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran was born on 21 April 1935.¹ He is the son of Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran and Lady Diana Mary Wellesley.¹ He married, firstly, Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville, daughter of Captain George Cecil Colville and Gabrielle Palmer, on 12 January 1959.² He and Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville were divorced in 1975.² He married, secondly, Alwyn Gillian Mason, daughter of Hubert Arbuckle Mason, on 2 January 1979.¹ He and Alwyn Gillian Mason were divorced in 1988.¹ He married, thirdly, Margaret Ann Rainey on 3 January 1990.¹
     Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran usually went by his middle name of Robin.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1954 in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1958.¹ He was awarded the Olympic Gold Medal in 1964 for bobsleigh.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1966.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1969.¹ He was managing director of Redland Northern Ireland between 1972 and 1996.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Antrim in 1979.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1992.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Glentoran, of Ballyalloly, co.      Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville was born on 28 December 1936.¹ She is the daughter of Captain George Cecil Colville and Gabrielle Palmer.² She married Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran, son of Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran and Lady Diana Mary Wellesley, on 12 January 1959.¹ She and Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran were divorced in 1975.¹
     Her married name became Dixon. She lived in 2003 at Gazebo, The Plantation, Curdridge, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Daniel George Dixon was born on 26 July 1959.¹ He is the son of Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran and Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville.¹ He married Lesley Hope Brooke, daughter of Julian Hope Brooke and Caroline Harcourt, in 1983.¹
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Hon. Andrew Wynne Valerian Dixon was born on 22 January 1961.¹ He is the son of Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran and Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville.¹ He married Karen Elizabeth Straker, daughter of Hugh Charles Straker and Elaine Felicia Peat, on 14 December 1991.¹
     He was educated at Dean Close School, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1980 in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Grange, Wycliff, Barnard Castle, County Durham, England^G.¹

     Hon. Peter Herbert Dixon was born on 15 May 1948.¹ He is the son of Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran and Lady Diana Mary Wellesley.¹ He married Jane Blanche Cutler, daughter of Eric Sturdee Cutler, on 2 October 1975.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Grenoble University, Grenoble, France^G.¹ He was a chartered accountant.¹ He lived in 2003 at Fieldhand House, Keevil, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Clare Rosalind Dixon was born on 15 November 1937.² She is the daughter of Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran and Lady Diana Mary Wellesley.^1,2 She married Sir Rudolph Ion Joseph Agnew, son of Rudolph John Agnew and Pamela Geraldine Theophila Campbell, on 29 March 1965.¹ She and Sir Rudolph Ion Joseph Agnew were divorced in 1980.¹
     From 29 March 1965, her married name became Agnew.¹ She lived in 2003 at 29 Felden Street, London, England^G.²

     Gabrielle Palmer is the daughter of General Sir Arthur Power Palmer.² She married, firstly, Colonel Francis Leger Christian Livingstone-Learmonth, son of Andrew James Livingstone-Learmonth and Frances Maxwell Buchanan Cuninghame, on 12 December 1922.^1,3 She married, secondly, Captain George Cecil Colville, son of Admiral Hon. Sir Stanley Cecil James Colville and Lady Adelaide Jane Meade, on 19 September 1935.¹
     From 12 December 1922, her married name became Livingstone-Learmonth.¹ Her married name became Colville.

     General Sir Arthur Power Palmer was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.)¹
