Worcester [E., 1626] on 1 April 1897.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hertfordshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 1904.1 He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Militia.1
