     From 19 January 1911, her married name became Bowers.¹

     Major Herbert Maunsell Bowers is the son of Lt.-Col. Maunsell Bowers.¹ He married Hilda Alice Stapleton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Richard Talbot Plantagenet Stapleton and Emma Shafto, on 19 January 1911.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Hampshire Regiment.¹
