     Sir William Stapleton, 3rd Bt. was born on 14 November 1674.¹ He was the son of Sir William Stapleton, 1st Bt. and Anne Russell.¹ He married Frances Russell, daughter of Sir James Russell and Penelope Tyrrell, on 23 January 1696/97 at Stepney, London, England^G.¹ He died on 6 December 1699 at age 25 at Nevis^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stapleton, of the Leeward Islands in America [E., 1679] on 17 July 1690.¹

     Sir William Stapleton, 1st Bt. was the son of Redmund Stapleton and unknown daughter Fogarty.² He married Anne Russell, daughter of Colonel Randolph Russell, before 1672.¹ He died on 3 August 1686 at Paris, France^G.¹
     He held the office of Governor-General of the Leeward Islands.³ He followed King Charles II into exile.² He was created 1st Baronet Stapleton, of the Leeward Islands in America [England] on 20 December 1679.¹

     Anne Russell was the daughter of Colonel Randolph Russell.¹ She married Sir William Stapleton, 1st Bt., son of Redmund Stapleton and unknown daughter Fogarty, before 1672.¹ She died on 8 July 1722.¹
     From before 1672, her married name became Stapleton.¹

     Colonel Randolph Russell held the office of Governor of Nevis.¹

     Sir James Russell is the son of Colonel Randolph Russell.¹ He married Penelope Tyrrell, daughter of Sir Timothy Tyrrell and Elizabeth Ussher.¹
     He held the office of Governor of Nevis.¹

     Sir James Stapleton, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 September 1672.¹ He was the son of Sir William Stapleton, 1st Bt. and Anne Russell.¹ He died on 17 July 1690 at age 17, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stapleton, of the Leeward Islands in America [E., 1679] on 3 August 1686.¹

     Frances Russell was the daughter of Sir James Russell and Penelope Tyrrell.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Walter Lake.² She married, firstly, Sir William Stapleton, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Stapleton, 1st Bt. and Anne Russell, on 23 January 1696/97 at Stepney, London, England^G.¹ She died on 14 January 1746.¹
     Her married name became Lake.² From 23 January 1696/97, her married name became Stapleton.¹

     Anne Clunie Hoblyn was born in 1933.² She was the daughter of Donald Robert Armstrong Hoblyn and Muriel Little.^1,2 She married James John Clyde, Baron Clyde, son of James Latham McDiarmid Clyde and Margaret Letitia Dubuisson, on 10 August 1963.¹ She died on 25 November 2020.³
     From 10 August 1963, her married name became Clyde.¹

     Penelope Tyrrell is the daughter of Sir Timothy Tyrrell and Elizabeth Ussher.¹ She married Sir James Russell, son of Colonel Randolph Russell.¹
     Her married name became Russell.¹
