     Mark Gilchrist Whyte was born in 1898. He was the son of Theodore George Willian Whyte and Lady Maude Josepha Ogilvy. He died on 19 August 1918, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers.¹

     Madeleine Whyte was born in 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Theodore George Willian Whyte and Lady Maude Josepha Ogilvy.

     John Francis Stanley Russell, 2nd Earl Russell was born on 12 August 1865.¹ He was the son of John Russell, Viscount Amberley and Lady Katherine Louisa Stanley.^2,1 He married, firstly, Mabel Edith Scott, daughter of Sir Claude Scott, 4th Bt. and Maria Selina Burney, on 6 February 1890.¹ He and Mabel Edith Scott were divorced in 1901.¹ He married, secondly, Marion Cooke, daughter of George Cooke, on 31 October 1901.¹ He and Marion Cooke were divorced in 1915.¹ He married, thirdly, Mary Annette Beauchamp, daughter of Henry Herron Beauchamp and Elizabeth Weiss Lassetter, in 1916.¹ He and Mary Annette Beauchamp were divorced in 1919.³ He died on 3 March 1931 at age 65, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Amberley, of Amberley, co. Gloucester and Ardsalla, co. Meath [U.K., 1861] on 28 May 1878.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl Russell, of Kingston Russell, co.      After her marriage, Mabel Edith Scott was styled as Countess Russell on 6 February 1890. From 6 February 1890, her married name became Russell.

     Marion Cooke is the daughter of George Cooke.¹ She married John Francis Stanley Russell, 2nd Earl Russell, son of John Russell, Viscount Amberley and Lady Katherine Louisa Stanley, on 31 October 1901.¹ She and John Francis Stanley Russell, 2nd Earl Russell were divorced in 1915.¹
     After her marriage, Marion Cooke was styled as Countess Russell on 31 October 1901. From 31 October 1901, her married name became Russell.

     Mary Annette Beauchamp was born on 31 August 1866 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.² She was the daughter of Henry Herron Beauchamp and Elizabeth Weiss Lassetter.³ She married, firstly, Henning August Graf von Arnim in 1891 at London, England^G.² She married, secondly, John Francis Stanley Russell, 2nd Earl Russell, son of John Russell, Viscount Amberley and Lady Katherine Louisa Stanley, in 1916.¹ She and John Francis Stanley Russell, 2nd Earl Russell were divorced in 1919.² She died on 9 February 1941 at age 74.¹
     From 1891, her married name became von Arnim.² She wrote the book Elizabeth and Her English Garden, published 1898.² From 1916, her married name became Russell. After her marriage, Mary Annette Beauchamp was styled as Countess Russell in 1916.

     Sir Claude Scott, 4th Bt. is the son of Sir Claude Edward Scott, 3rd Bt. and Mary Buckworth. He married Maria Selina Burney, daughter of Henry Charles Burney.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Scott, of Lytchet Minster, co. Dorset [U.K., 1821].
