He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.1 He was Staff Captain and DAPM to Provost Marshal of hte UK between 1941 and 1945.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lane, of Cavendish Square, London [U.K., 1913] on 16 January 1943.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1954.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
