     Rear-Admiral Timothy Michael Bevan was born on 7 April 1931.2 He was the son of Thomas Richard Bevan and Margaret Turnure.3 He married Georgiana Sarah Ann Knight, daughter of Major Claude Thorburn Knight and Hon. Priscilla Dodson, on 12 December 1970.1 He died on 6 June 2019 at age 88.4
     He was commissioned in 1949, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Intelligence) between 1984 and 1986.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1986.1
