     After her marriage, Ruth Brand was styled as Baroness Monk Bretton on 19 August 1911. From 19 August 1911, her married name became Dodson.

     John William Dodson, 2nd Baron Monk Bretton was born on 22 September 1869.¹ He was the son of John George Dodson, 1st Baron Monk Bretton and Florence Campion.² He married Ruth Brand, daughter of Major Hon. Charles Brand and Alice Emma Sturgis Van de Weyer, on 19 August 1911.² He died on 29 July 1933 at age 63.¹
     He was Attaché of the Diplomatic Service between 1894 and 1897.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Monk Bretton, of Conybro and Hurstpierpoint, co.      John Charles Dodson, 3rd Baron Monk Bretton was born on 17 July 1924.¹ He was the son of John William Dodson, 2nd Baron Monk Bretton and Ruth Brand.¹ He married Zoë Diana Mary Alicia Scott, daughter of Ian Douglas Murray Scott, on 29 January 1958.¹ He died on 26 May 2022 at age 97.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Monk Bretton, of Conybro and Hurstpierpoint, co.      Zoë Diana Mary Alicia Scott is the daughter of Ian Douglas Murray Scott.¹ She married John Charles Dodson, 3rd Baron Monk Bretton, son of John William Dodson, 2nd Baron Monk Bretton and Ruth Brand, on 29 January 1958.¹
     After her marriage, Zoë Diana Mary Alicia Scott was styled as Baroness Monk Bretton on 29 January 1958. From 29 January 1958, her married name became Dodson.

     Christopher Mark Dodson, 4th Baron Monk Bretton was born on 2 August 1958.¹ He is the son of John Charles Dodson, 3rd Baron Monk Bretton and Zoë Diana Mary Alicia Scott.¹ He married Karen L. McKelvain, daughter of B. J. McKelvain, in 1988.¹

     Hon. Priscilla Dodson was born on 20 July 1914.² She was the daughter of John William Dodson, 2nd Baron Monk Bretton and Ruth Brand.^1,2 She married Major Claude Thorburn Knight, son of Ernest A. Knight and Isobel Constance Thorburn, on 7 January 1935.² She died in April 1995 at age 80 at Haywards Heath, Sussex, England.³
     Her married name became Knight.

     Major Claude Thorburn Knight was born on 10 February 1910.² He was the son of Ernest A. Knight and Isobel Constance Thorburn.^3,4 He married Hon. Priscilla Dodson, daughter of John William Dodson, 2nd Baron Monk Bretton and Ruth Brand, on 7 January 1935.³ He died on 17 November 1993 at age 83 at Haywards Heath, Sussex, England.⁵
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.² He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.³ He lived at Lower Stoneham, Lewes, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Ernest A. Knight was born in 1869.² He married Isobel Constance Thorburn, daughter of Sir Walter Thorburn and Elizabeth Jackson Scott.¹ He died in 1944.³
