     Major Cecil Harold Verdin Crichton-Browne was born in 1897 at Sloan Street, London, England.¹ He was the son of Colonel Harrold William Alexander Francis Crichton-Browne and Josephine Margaret Verdin.¹ He died on 13 December 1918 at Mons, Belgium.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.¹

     Sir James Crichton-Browne was born on 29 November 1840 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He married Emily Halliday on 11 September 1865 at St. philips Church, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.¹ He married Audrey Emily Bulwer, daughter of General Sir Edward Earle Gascoigne Bulwer and Isabella Anne Buxton, on 16 January 1912 at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street, London, England.¹ He died on 31 January 1938 at age 97 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹

     From 30 October 1877, her married name became Schomberg.¹

     Rear-Admiral Anson Schomberg was born on 19 November 1846 at Kilmore, County Monaghan, Ireland.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Herbert Schomberg and Sarah Bayton.¹ He married Caroline Alice Elizabeth Lloyd, daughter of Bartholomew Clifford Lloyd and Caroline Brooke, on 30 October 1877 at St. Peter’s Church, Brighton, Sussex, England.¹ He died on 12 June 1925 at age 78 at Hove, Sussex, England.¹
     He was awarded the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal in June 1868.¹
