     Mary Lennard was the daughter of John Lennard.¹ She married, firstly, Guildford Walsingham, son of Sir Thomas Walsingham and Dorothy Guildford.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Gresham, son of William Gresham and Beatrice Guybon, on 23 August 1587.¹ She died on 2 December 1620.¹
     Her married name became Walsingham.¹ From 23 August 1587, her married name became Gresham.¹

     Sir Edmund Walsingham was born before 1480.¹ He was the son of James Walsingham and Eleanor Writtle.¹ He married, firstly, Catherine Gunter, daughter of John Gunter, before 1510.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Jerningham, daughter of Sir Edward Jerningham and Margaret Bedingfield, before 1543.¹ He died on 10 February 1550.¹
     He was appointed Knight on 13 September 1513.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of the Tower between 1521 and 1543.¹ He was Vice-Chamberlain of the Household of Queen Catherine Parr.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Surrey in 1545.¹ He lived at Scadbury, Kent, England.¹
