     Sally Ann Dickson was born on 16 July 1942.² She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. John David Logan Dickson and Elizabeth Daphne Fane.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. John Alan Cubitt Blakiston, son of John Francis Blakiston and Margaret Dora Ward-Jackson, on 30 May 1975.¹
     From 30 May 1975, her married name became Blakiston.¹

     Major Octavious Edward Fane was born on 15 October 1886.¹ He was the son of Captain Henry George Fane and Blanche Louisa Spencer.¹ He died on 18 September 1918 at age 31, from wounds received in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Sophie Fane was the daughter of Colonel John William Fane and Catherine Hobhouse.¹ She married Arthur Henry Clerke Brown on 29 July 1851.¹ She died on 26 August 1886.¹
     Her married name became Brown.

     Major John Augustus Fane was born on 23 September 1830.² He was the son of Colonel John William Fane and Lady Ellen Catherine Parker.² He married Eleanor Thornhill, daughter of Thomas Thornhill, on 21 June 1860.² He died on 19 August 1908 at age 77.²
     He gained the rank of Major and Adjutant in the 2nd Battalion, Oxfordshire Rifle Volunteers.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 46th Regiment.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.² He lived at Wormsley, Oxfordshire, England^G.²

     Eleanor Thornhill was the daughter of Thomas Thornhill.¹ She married Major John Augustus Fane, son of Colonel John William Fane and Lady Ellen Catherine Parker, on 21 June 1860.¹ She died on 31 March 1902.¹
     Her married name became Fane.

     Thomas Thornhill lived at Woodleys, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Ellen Fane was the daughter of Colonel John William Fane and Lady Ellen Catherine Parker.¹ She married George Stratton on 24 November 1853.¹ She died on 18 November 1900.¹
     Her married name became Stratton.

     George Stratton married Ellen Fane, daughter of Colonel John William Fane and Lady Ellen Catherine Parker, on 24 November 1853.¹ He died in July 1895.¹
