Major Henry John Fane was born on 27 December 1919 at Bromley, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Francis John Fane and Violet Bower.1 He married, firstly, Donna Agatina Saverio D’Ayala, daughter of Conte Francesco Saverio D’Ayala and Dora D’Ayala Vergara, Contessa di Craco, on 7 June 1945.1 He and Donna Agatina Saverio D’Ayala were divorced in 1970.1 He married, secondly, Anne Barclay Gamble, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Gamble, after 1977.1 He died on 15 December 1993 at age 73 at Chichester, Sussex, England.1,2
He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
