     Peter Francis George Fane was born on 15 December 1917.¹ He was the son of Francis John Fane and Violet Bower.¹ He married Diana Hodgkinson, daughter of Colonel George Holden Hodgkinson and Eleanor Kearsley, on 31 October 1939.¹ He died on 12 September 1999 at age 81.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.¹

     Diana Hodgkinson was born in 1919.² She was the daughter of Colonel George Holden Hodgkinson and Eleanor Kearsley.^1,3 She married Peter Francis George Fane, son of Francis John Fane and Violet Bower, on 31 October 1939.¹ She died on 24 January 2016.²
     Her married name became Fane. She lived in 2003 at 12 Erskine Close, Pamber Heath, Tadley, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Colonel George Holden Hodgkinson married Eleanor Kearsley.²
     He lived at Copse Butt, Bembridge, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹

     Francis Michael George Fane was born on 5 February 1941.¹ He is the son of Peter Francis George Fane and Diana Hodgkinson.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Bridget Gribble, daughter of Major John Alfred Gordon Gribble, on 28 October 1967.¹ He married, secondly, Irene Johnston, daughter of Maurice Frederick Osborne Johnston, in 1989.¹
