     Edmund Affleck was born on 30 March 1854.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Affleck, 6th Bt. and Maria Emily Burton.1 He died on 8 May 1875 at age 21.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.1

Lily Ross1

     Lily Ross is the daughter of Alfred Quarm Ross.1 She married Sir Frederick Danby James Affleck, 8th Bt., son of Reverend James Danby Affleck and Sophia Dyson, on 3 January 1904, but this marriage must have been a fiction invented for the Burkes entry, as Lily does not mention it.1,2 She married Sir Frederick Danby James Affleck, 8th Bt., son of Reverend James Danby Affleck and Sophia Dyson, on 23 November 1918 at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, but this marriage was not valid as Lily’s first husband was apparently still alive.2
     From 3 January 1904, her married name became Affleck.1

     In 1937 he was conviceted of robbery and blackmail and sentenced to four years in prison.2
