Sir Edward Turnor 
Sir Edward Turnor was born in 1617. He was the son of Arthur Turnour and Anne Jermy.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Gore, daughter of Gerard Gore.2 He married, secondly, Mary Ewer, daughter of Henry Ewer, before 1656.2 He died in 1676.
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex in 1658. He held the office of Atotrney-General, to the Duke of York.2 He was appointed Knight on 7 July 1660. He held the office of Speaker, House of Commons between 1661 and 1671.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hertford between 1661 and 1671. He held the office of Solicitor-General.2 He held the office of Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer between 1671 and 1676.2 He also had a daughter by his first wife.2
