     Maj.-Gen. John Seymour Mellor was born in 1883 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was the son of James Mellor and Grace Lilian Potter.¹ He married Elizabeth Love Marquand, daughter of Frederick Alexander Marquand and Alice Ogston, on 28 April 1909 at St. Peter’s Church, Upper Beeding, Sussex, England.¹ He died in 1962.¹
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Elizabeth Love Marquand was born on 30 December 1883 at New York, U.S.A.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Alexander Marquand and Alice Ogston.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. John Seymour Mellor, son of James Mellor and Grace Lilian Potter, on 28 April 1909 at St. Peter’s Church, Upper Beeding, Sussex, England.¹ She died in 1963 at Hertford, Hertfordshire, England.¹
     From 28 April 1909, her married name became Mellor.¹

     Elizabeth Holmes was the daughter of Admiral Sir John Holmes.¹ She married Sir Henry Hicks, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Hicks, 2nd Bt. and Martha Agnes Coningsby.¹ She died on 14 January 1705.¹
     Her married name became Hicks.¹

     Barbara Johnson was the daughter of Joseph Johnson.¹ She married Sir Henry Hicks, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Hicks, 2nd Bt. and Martha Agnes Coningsby.¹ She died circa 5 August 1746.¹ She was buried on 8 August 1746.¹
     Her married name became Hicks.¹

     Joseph Johnson lived at Walthamstow, Essex, England.¹

     Michael Hicks was the son of Sir Henry Hicks, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Johnson.¹ He died, without issue.¹

     Samuel Beaumont Everard married Susanna Howe, daughter of Sir Richard Howe, before 1679.¹ He died before 1679.¹
     He was admitted to Middle Temple.¹

     Mary Watts is the daughter of Jeffrey Watts.¹ She married Howe Hicks, son of Sir Michael Hicks and Susanna Howe.¹
     Her married name became Hicks.¹
