     Ethel Mary Alberta Whitmore was born on 3 September 1870.² She was the daughter of Captain Thomas Charles Douglas Whitmore and Louisa Margaret Emily Cradock-Hartopp.^1,2 She married Colonel Sir William Thomas Reginald Houldsworth, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum, on 20 July 1899.¹ She died on 7 May 1937 at age 66.¹
     Her married name became Houldsworth.

     Colonel Sir William Thomas Reginald Houldsworth, 3rd Bt. was born on 24 August 1874.¹ He was the son of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum.^1,2 He married Ethel Mary Alberta Whitmore, daughter of Captain Thomas Charles Douglas Whitmore and Louisa Margaret Emily Cradock-Hartopp, on 20 July 1899.¹ He died on 31 December 1960 at age 86.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1897 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1898 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ayrshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the Ayrshire Yeomanry between 1920 and 1921.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1946.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Houldsworth, of Reddish, co, Lancaster and Coodham, Symington, Ayrshire [U.K., 1887] on 18 December 1947.²

     Violet Frances Elisabeth Houldsworth was the daughter of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum.¹ She married Colonel Sir Francis Henry Douglas Charlton Whitmore, 1st Bt., son of Captain Thomas Charles Douglas Whitmore and Louisa Margaret Emily Cradock-Hartopp, on 28 June 1900.¹ She died on 13 June 1927.¹
     Her married name became Whitmore. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. was born on 20 August 1834.¹ He was the son of Henry Houldsworth and Helen Hamilton.¹ He married Elizabeth Graham Crum, daughter of Walter Crum and Jessie Graham, on 20 August 1862.¹ He died on 18 April 1917 at age 82.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Manchester between 1883 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Manchester North-West between 1885 and 1906.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Houldsworth, of Reddish, co, Lancaster and Coodham, Symington, Ayrshire [U.K.] on 29 July 1887.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ayrshire.¹

     Ellis Christense Johnsen is the daughter of Knud Christian Johnsen. She married Colonel Sir Francis Henry Douglas Charlton Whitmore, 1st Bt., son of Captain Thomas Charles Douglas Whitmore and Louisa Margaret Emily Cradock-Hartopp, on 1 October 1931.¹
     She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)¹ Her married name became Whitmore. She lived in 2003 at 7 Parc de Bude, Geneva, Switzerland.¹

     Sir Henry Hamilton Houldsworth, 2nd Bt. was born on 17 September 1867.¹ He was the son of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum.¹ He died on 18 December 1947 at age 80, unmarried.¹

     Walter Crum Houldsworth was born on 26 September 1870.¹ He was the son of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum.¹ He died in 1880.¹

     Agnes Graham Houldsworth was the daughter of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Robert George Buchanan Riddell, son of Reverend John Charles Riddell and Frances Sophia Cholmondeley, on 24 April 1895.² She died on 15 March 1955.²
     Her married name became Riddell.

     Lt.-Col. Robert George Buchanan Riddell was born on 15 September 1854.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Charles Riddell and Frances Sophia Cholmondeley.² He married Agnes Graham Houldsworth, daughter of Sir William Henry Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Graham Crum, on 24 April 1895.¹ He died on 24 January 1900 at age 45 at Spion Kop, Natal, South Africa, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Boer War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹
