     From circa 1707, her married name became Buchanan.¹

     Colonel Robert Buchanan, 8th of Spittal was the son of John Buchanan, 7th of Spittal and Margaret Muirhead.¹ He died in 1783, without issue.¹

     Peter Buchanan, 9th of Spittal was the son of John Buchanan, 7th of Spittal and Margaret Muirhead.¹ He died in 1791.¹

     Thomas Buchanan, 10th of Spittal was born circa 1715.¹ He was the son of John Buchanan, 7th of Spittal and Margaret Muirhead.¹ He married Katherine Buchanan of Leny, daughter of Henry Buchanan, 12th of Leny and Katherine Campbell of Lawers.¹ He married Elizabeth Hamilton of Bardowie, daughter of John Hamilton of Bardowie and Marion Buchanan, on 21 October 1757 at Baldernock, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹ He died after 1791.¹

     Katherine Buchanan of Leny is the daughter of Henry Buchanan, 12th of Leny and Katherine Campbell of Lawers.¹ She married Thomas Buchanan, 10th of Spittal, son of John Buchanan, 7th of Spittal and Margaret Muirhead.¹

     Elizabeth Hamilton of Bardowie is the daughter of John Hamilton of Bardowie and Marion Buchanan.¹ She married Thomas Buchanan, 10th of Spittal, son of John Buchanan, 7th of Spittal and Margaret Muirhead, on 21 October 1757 at Baldernock, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹
     From 21 October 1757, her married name became Buchanan.¹

     John Hamilton of Bardowie married Marion Buchanan.¹

     Marion Buchanan married John Hamilton of Bardowie.¹
     Her married name became Hamilton.¹
