     John Dalton was born in September 1603 at West Hauxwell, Yorkshire, England.1 He was baptised on 17 September 1603.2 He married Dorothy Conyers Darcy, daughter of Conyers Darcy, 7th Lord Darcy de Knayth and Dorothy Belasyse, on 22 April 1627 at Hornby, Yorkshire, England.1 He died on 20 July 1644 at age 40 at Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, England, from wounds received while protecting the Queen.3 He was buried on 26 July 1644 at York, Yokrshire, England.2
