     John Inglis, Lord Glencorse was born on 21 August 1810 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Inglis and Maria Moxham Passmore.¹ He married Isabella Mary Wood, daughter of Alexander Wood, Lord Wood and Jane Anderson, on 20 July 1842 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He died on 20 August 1891 at age 80 at Loganbank House, East Kirklands, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was buried at New Calton Cemetery, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹
     He was styled as Lord Glencorse [Scottish Law Lord]. He held the office of Lord President of the Court of Session between 1867 and 1891.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.)¹

     Isabella Mary Wood was born in October 1820.² She was the daughter of Alexander Wood, Lord Wood and Jane Anderson.¹ She married John Inglis, Lord Glencorse, son of Reverend John Inglis and Maria Moxham Passmore, on 20 July 1842 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ She died on 29 November 1855 at age 35 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² She was buried at New Calton Cemetery, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.²
     From 20 July 1842, her married name became Inglis.¹

     Alexander Wood, Lord Wood married Jane Anderson.¹

     Jane Anderson married Alexander Wood, Lord Wood.¹
