     Sir John Wemyss of Wemyss was the son of John Wemyss of Wemyss and Margaret Livingstone.2 He married Christian Abernethy, daughter of William Abernethy, 2nd Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and unknown wife (?), in 1468.3 He died circa May 1508.2
     He had two younger sons.2

     He fought in the Battle of Flodden Field on 9 September 1513.1
