Arundel Rea Leakey was born on 30 December 1915 at Nairobi, Kenya.¹ He was the son of Arundell Gray Arundell Leakey and Elizabeth Laing.¹ He married, firstly, Muriel Irene le Poer Trench, daughter of Power Watts Trench and Ida Irene Bradshaw, in 1949.¹ He and Muriel Irene le Poer Trench were divorced in 1984.¹ He married, secondly, Joan Basden Collingridge in 1994.¹ He died on 6 October 1999 at age 83.¹
     Maj.-Gen. Arundel Rea Leakey usually went by his middle name of Rea.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1941 and bar.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.¹ He was Director-General of Fighting Vehicles between 1964 and 1966.¹ He wrote the book Leakey’s Luck, published 1999.¹

     Joan Basden Collingridge married, firstly, Major G. C. H. Morant.² She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Arundel Rea Leakey, son of Arundell Gray Arundell Leakey and Elizabeth Laing, in 1994.¹ She died on 10 February 2021 at Amesbury Abbey, Amesbury, Wiltshire, England.²
     Her married name became Morant.² From 1994, her married name became Leakey.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Arundell David Leakey was born in 1952.¹ He is the son of Maj.-Gen. Arundel Rea Leakey and Muriel Irene le Poer Trench.¹
     Lt.-Gen. Arundell David Leakey usually went by his middle name of David.³ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was Serjeant-at-Arms, House of Lords in 2011.¹ He held the office of Secretary to the Lord Great Chamberlain in 2011.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod between 2011 and 2017.¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 2018.³

     Sarah Clack was born circa 1735.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Clack.¹ She married Charles Palmer, son of Sir Charles Palmer, 5th Bt. and Anne Harcourt.¹ She died in 1800.¹
     Her married name became Palmer.¹

     Reverend William Charles Clack was born in 1782.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Clack and Bridget Diana Stone.¹ He died in 1865.¹

     John Locke was born in 1770.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Locke and Ann Clack.¹ He married Hon. Matilda Jane Courtenay, daughter of William Courtenay, 2nd Viscount Courtenay of Powderham Castle and Frances Clack.¹ He died in 1837.¹

     Matilda Henrietta Elizabeth Locke was born in 1802.¹ She was the daughter of John Locke and Hon. Matilda Jane Courtenay.¹ She married Heinrich LXIX Prinz Reuss zu Köstritz, son of Heinrich XLVIII Graf Reuss zu Köstritz and Christiane Henriette Antonie von Schönburg-Glauchau, on 5 November 1834 at Florence, Italy.² She died in 1877.¹

     Heinrich LXIX Prinz Reuss zu Köstritz was born on 31 March 1787 at Köstritz, Germany^G.¹ He was the son of Heinrich XLVIII Graf Reuss zu Köstritz and Christiane Henriette Antonie von Schönburg-Glauchau.² He married Matilda Henrietta Elizabeth Locke, daughter of John Locke and Hon. Matilda Jane Courtenay, on 5 November 1834 at Florence, Italy.² He died on 15 September 1856 at age 69 at Ernstbrunn, Germany.¹

     Reverend Charles George John Courtneay Locke was born in 1804.¹ He was the son of John Locke and Hon. Matilda Jane Courtenay.¹ He married Blanche Somerset, daughter of General Lord Robert Edward Henry Somerset and Hon. Louisa Augusta Courtenay, in 1845.¹ He died in 1848.¹

     Blanche Somerset was born in 1811.¹ She was the daughter of General Lord Robert Edward Henry Somerset and Hon. Louisa Augusta Courtenay.¹ She married Reverend Charles George John Courtneay Locke, son of John Locke and Hon. Matilda Jane Courtenay, in 1845.¹ She died in 1879.¹
     From 1845, her married name became Locke.¹
