     Edith Craven Carden is the daughter of Arthur Craven Carden and Marian Hendy.²

     Lt.-Col. Henry Westenra Carden was born on 13 April 1857.¹ He was the son of Reverend Arthur Carden and Rosa Emily Woodward.² He married, firstly, Emily Elphinstone Clack, daughter of Reverend William Courtenay Clack, on 8 March 1886.¹ He married, secondly, Beatrice Sharp, daughter of Peter Sharp, on 22 October 1919.¹ He died on 30 May 1928 at age 71.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Battalion, Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army Pay Department.¹

     Reverend William Courtenay Clack is the son of Reverend William Charles Clack.
     He was the Rector at Moreton, Devon, England^G.¹

     Emily Elphinstone Clack was the daughter of Reverend William Courtenay Clack.² She married Lt.-Col. Henry Westenra Carden, son of Reverend Arthur Carden and Rosa Emily Woodward, on 8 March 1886.¹ She died on 17 January 1918.¹
     From 8 March 1886, her married name became Carden.

     Peter Sharp lived at Cannock, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Beatrice Sharp was the daughter of Peter Sharp.² She married Lt.-Col. Henry Westenra Carden, son of Reverend Arthur Carden and Rosa Emily Woodward, on 22 October 1919.¹ She died in 1944.¹
     From 22 October 1919, her married name became Carden.

     Bernard Westenra Carden was born in 1887.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Westenra Carden and Emily Elphinstone Clack.² He married Gwendoline Price, daughter of Joseph Price, in 1923.¹ He died on 4 July 1951.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.¹

     Joseph Price lived at Leamington, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     Gwendoline Price was the daughter of Joseph Price.² She married Bernard Westenra Carden, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Westenra Carden and Emily Elphinstone Clack, in 1923.¹ She died in 1980.¹
     From 1923, her married name became Carden.

     Patrick Westenra Carden was born on 8 January 1928.¹ He is the son of Bernard Westenra Carden and Gwendoline Price.² He married Janet Hilda Stickland, daughter of William Edgar Stickland, on 23 July 1955.¹
     He graduated from University of Wales, Wales^G, in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Sandy Top, 174 Station Road, Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England^G.¹
