     Edward Adolphus Seymour Maxwell was born on 20 October 1849.¹ He was the son of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 6th Bt. and Helenora Shaw-Stewart.¹ He died on 25 August 1866 at age 16.¹

     Catherine Shaw Stewart Maxwell was the daughter of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 6th Bt. and Helenora Shaw-Stewart.¹ She died on 27 July 1911, unmarried.¹

     Anne Murray Maxwell was the daughter of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 6th Bt. and Helenora Shaw-Stewart.¹ She married Robert Hathorn Johnston Stewart on 24 April 1856.¹ She died on 27 April 1920.¹
     From 24 April 1856, her married name became Stewart.¹

     Robert Hathorn Johnston Stewart married Anne Murray Maxwell, daughter of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 6th Bt. and Helenora Shaw-Stewart, on 24 April 1856.¹ He died on 10 July 1899.¹
     He lived at Physgill, Wigtownshire, Scotland.¹

     Alan Eglantine Maxwell was the daughter of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 6th Bt. and Helenora Shaw-Stewart.¹ She died in September 1921.¹

     William Maxwell was born on 29 September 1869.¹ He was the son of Sir Herbert Eustace Maxwell of Monreith, 7th Bt. and Mary Fletcher-Campbell.¹ He died between 12 June 1897 and 19 June 1897 at Fort Gibbs, Mashonaland.¹

     Winifred Edith Maxwell was born on 19 July 1873.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Herbert Eustace Maxwell of Monreith, 7th Bt. and Mary Fletcher-Campbell.¹ She married Alastair Erskine Graham on 11 November 1897.¹ She died on 30 October 1968 at age 95.¹
     From 11 November 1897, her married name became Graham.¹

     Alastair Erskine Graham married Winifred Edith Maxwell, daughter of Sir Herbert Eustace Maxwell of Monreith, 7th Bt. and Mary Fletcher-Campbell, on 11 November 1897.¹ He died on 5 September 1932.¹

     Sir Thomas Haggerston, 6th Bt. was born on 13 July 1785.¹ He was the son of Thomas Haggerston and Winifred Charlton.¹ He married Margaret Robertson, daughter of William Robertson, on 24 January 1815.¹ He died on 11 December 1842 at age 57, without male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Haggerston, of Haggerston, co. Northampton [E., 1642] on 3 December 1831.¹

     Helen Vidal Harris was born on 25 July 1834 at Eldon House, London, Ontario, Canada.² She was the daughter of Captain John Harris and Amelia Ryerse.^3,4 She married Hon. Maurice Berkeley Portman, son of Edward Berkley Portman, 1st Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Lady Emma Lascelles, on 4 June 1856 at London, Ontario, Canada.^5,2 She died on 30 March 1860 at age 25.⁵
     From 4 June 1856, her married name became Portman.¹
