     Maj.-Gen. Richard Clement Moody was born on 13 February 1813 at Barbados.¹ He was the son of Major Thomas Moody.¹ He married Mary Susannah Hawks, daughter of Joseph Hawks, on 6 July 1852 at St. Andrews Church, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Northumberland, England.¹ He died on 21 March 1887 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.¹ He was commissioned in 1830, in the service of the Royal Engineers.¹ He held the office of Governor of the Falkland Islands between 1841 and 1849.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia in 1858.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1866.¹

     Mary Susannah Hawks is the daughter of Joseph Hawks.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Richard Clement Moody, son of Major Thomas Moody, on 6 July 1852 at St. Andrews Church, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Northumberland, England.¹
     From 6 July 1852, her married name became Moody.¹

     Maria Jane Campbell was born in 1794 at Jamaica.¹ She was the daughter of John Campbell and Charlotte Mary (?)¹ She married Edward Pope, son of Ebenezer Pope and Anna Maria Eves.¹ She married John Crosman.¹ She died in 1834 at St. Mary’s, Jamaica.¹
     Her married name became Crosman.¹ Her married name became Pope.¹

     Mary Ann Pope was born in 1792 at London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Ebenezer Pope and Anna Maria Eves.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Watkyn Richards, son of Sir Richard Richards.¹ She died in 1822 at Staffordshire, England.¹
     Her married name became Richards.¹
